The film is set in 19th century China in the town of Jungle Village. RZA plays a freed slave turned loner blacksmith who is called on to make deadly weapons for most of the townsfolk. Crowe plays a British soldier named Jack Knife, who’s named after his special weapon, and is visiting the town’s brothel ran by Madam Blossom (Liu). When the Lion Clan, lead by Silver Lion (Mann) and Bronze Lion (Le), kill their former leader and threaten the village the Blacksmith teams with Jack Knife and a lone warrior out to avenge his father’s death, known as The X-Blade (Yune), to defend the townsfolk. Chaos and violence ensues.
